AccessAU Team
John Phillips – Founder
John Phillips is the Founder of AccessAU, bringing over 20 years of experience across leadership, strategy, and complex commercial environments in Australia and international markets.
Originally trained as a Chemical Engineer, with a Master’s Degree in Marketing Management, John’s career spans senior leadership and strategic roles within highly regulated, infrastructure‑intensive industries. He has led high‑value negotiations, secured large infrastructure contracts, and partnered closely with executive and senior decision‑makers across Australia, Asia‑Pacific, and global markets.
Throughout this work, John observed that sustainable commercial results are not driven by strategy or technical capability alone—but by the quality of leadership, decision‑making, and behaviour within organisations. This insight became the foundation for AccessAU.
As a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach, Trainer, and Speaker, John integrates proven, values‑based leadership principles with real‑world commercial and engineering experience. His approach is practical and outcome‑focused, helping leaders move beyond theory to build clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution—particularly in environments where complexity, risk, and accountability are high.
John works with organisations and individuals navigating growth, change, or operational pressure, supporting leaders to think clearly, act decisively, and lead in ways that create lasting value for their teams, organisations, and themselves.
AccessAU works with companies to strengthen leadership clarity, alignment, and execution in environments where growth, change, or complexity place real pressure on decision‑making.
Sunita Phillips – Advisor
Sunita Phillips is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) and the Founder of Taxright Accountants and Advisors, bringing over 20 years of experience across accounting, taxation, and strategic advisory for business owners and high‑income professionals across Australia. She is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ), IPA, and ICANZ, with a career grounded in both technical excellence and practical commercial insight.
Throughout her career, Sunita has worked closely with professionals including Doctors, Engineers, IT Consultants, and business owners who are earning well but not achieving the financial outcomes their income should support. In nearly every case, she observed the same underlying issues—excessive tax exposure, poor structuring, reactive advice, and a lack of long‑term planning.
This insight became the foundation of her work at Taxright. Accountants and Advisors
Sunita’s approach goes well beyond compliance. She integrates tax planning, business and investment structuring, cash flow optimisation, and wealth strategy to help clients make better financial decisions throughout the year—not just at tax time. Her focus is on creating clarity, protecting income, and ensuring each decision contributes to a broader financial objective.
As an Associate of AccessAU, Sunita works alongside the leadership and advisory team to support clients navigating growth, complexity, and long‑term financial planning. Her contribution ensures that tax and financial structures align with leadership decisions, business strategy, and personal wealth objectives.
Sunita is recognised for identifying opportunities others miss and for implementing proactive strategies that deliver tangible results. Many of her clients have achieved significant outcomes, including saving of $80k or more per year through strategic tax planning and capital gains strategies, while simultaneously improving cash flow and building long‑term wealth through better structuring.
Clients value Sunita for her ability to simplify complex financial matters, provide clear direction, and take a hands‑on role in guiding their financial journey. She believes that strong advice is not just technical—it requires a deep understanding of where a client is heading and the discipline to build the right structure to support that path.
At the core of her work is a clear philosophy:
Do it right the first time—every time.
